Jersey is the fabric your favourite T-shirt is made of — a soft knit with natural stretch, comfortable from the first wear and kind to real bodies. This page gathers our jersey family in one place: cotton jerseys, viscose jerseys, bamboo and more, in plains and prints.
What jersey wants from you: a ball point or stretch needle so the tip slides between the knit loops, a stitch with a little give (narrow zigzag on any machine), and no pulling as it feeds — let the machine do the moving. In return it skips the chore wovens demand: cut edges don't fray, so seam finishing is optional.
If you're choosing a first stretch fabric, our thicker, more stable knits are the gentlest teachers — and the beginner guides on our blog walk every step.
