Lace does with structure what other fabrics do with print: the pattern is built into the fabric itself, in openwork florals and scallops that catch light and shadow. This page gathers our laces — stretch laces for close-fitting garments, crochet-style laces for boho layers — for bridalwear, occasionwear, lingerie-style details and the sleeves that make a plain dress unforgettable.
Working with lace, honestly: it's easier than it looks. Stretch laces sew like any knit (ball point needle, stitch with give). The design decisions matter more than the sewing — plan where motifs and scalloped edges fall on the garment, and use the scallop as your hem where you can; it's a finished edge the fabric gives you for free.
Layer over a plain lining in a matching or deliberately contrasting shade — both live in our plains collection.
