French Terry

French terry is the fabric of good hoodies and better weekends — smooth on the outside, soft little loops on the inside. Lighter than sweatshirt fleece, it's the year-round member of the cosy family: warm enough for evenings, breathable enough that you don't cook.

Its home ground is loungewear and casual layers — joggers, hoodies, sweatshirt dresses, children's play clothes — anything designed for actual living. The looped back slides comfortably over other layers, and the smooth face takes a print or embroidery nicely.

It sews like a friendly, stable knit: minimal curl, easy feeding, ballpoint needle, giving stitch. Pre-wash for the cotton content, and cut cuffs and waistbands from our cotton rib for the proper shop-bought finish.
