Swimwear fabric is engineering disguised as shine: four-way stretch that moves with a swimmer, chlorine-and-sun-resilient fibres, and full recovery so a costume fits the same at the end of the season as the start. This collection gathers our swim-ready stretches — vibrant shiny lycras and bold prints — for swimsuits, bikinis, rash tops and the dance costumes that borrow the same performance.
Maker's notes: always line swimwear (matching stretch lining, especially in lighter colours once wet), sew with a stretch needle and stitches that give, and use swim-rated elastic — ordinary elastic surrenders to chlorine by August. Fit negative ease: a costume should measure slightly smaller than the body it's for.
Sample first — shine and print scale read differently in hand than on screen.
